Rock Your Hair, Guurl!

Listen, I've been through so many different hair styles and colors, it's not even funny. Back in the day, as a kid, I rocked the box braids with the burnt ends (well, we called them individuals or dookie braids in LA). Sometimes I'd wear my hair braided in cornrows, especially when I played basketball. I had my first perm when I was about 12, which I hated since it broke my hair off considerably. This motivated me to cut my hair short when I was about 15, then I started using the good ol' texturizer. I am so passionate about what I do, it feels good when i'm recognized for my work. I don't do what I do for fame or recognition, but if you put in the time, those bonuses can come through and you know I enjoy it. Recently, Dance Spirit magazine reached out to me for my dancehall class at EXPG and they featured me in their magazine for the April issue. I was super excited about this because I've always wanted to be in Dance Spirit Magazine. When I was featured in Dance Mogul Magazine a couple years ago, it truly was an honor.
